Teacher of Geography - Secondary School - Leeds

About the Role
As Teacher of Geography , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience. The curriculum is designed to develop students’ understanding of both physical and human geography while building analytical, evaluative and data interpretation skills.
Students study a range of topics including:
Tectonic processes and natural hazards
Climate, ecosystems and environmental change
Rivers, coasts and landscapes
Urban development and globalisation
Population change and global development
Lessons are structured to help students think like geographers—analysing data, evaluating case studies and developing evidence-based arguments.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Humanities department to plan lessons, share resources and ensure that students experience a well-sequenced curriculum that supports long-term understanding.
The Department
The Humanities department is collaborative, supportive and committed to delivering engaging teaching. Staff work closely together to plan schemes of work, share best practice and support students to achieve strong outcomes.
Geography is a popular subject within the school, particularly at GCSE, where students enjoy exploring contemporary global issues and real-world case studies.
