The Role

• Preparing tools, machinery, and materials for practical DT lessons

• Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring machinery is serviced appropriately

• Supporting teachers and pupils during practical sessions

• Managing stock control, materials ordering, and resource organisation

• Ensuring strict compliance with workshop health & safety regulations

• Maintaining risk assessments and safety documentation

• Assisting with GCSE and A Level NEA preparation

• Supporting the overall organisation and efficiency of the department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a workshop, technical, or school-based role

• Strong practical skills and understanding of workshop machinery

• Knowledge of health & safety compliance within practical environments

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• The ability to work independently and proactively

• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
