UX Manager

Lead UX & Design Consultant

Salary: £negotiable

Reporting to: Operations Director

Location: Leeds

Duration: Permanent (will consider a short term contractor)

Objective

To develop, embed and grow the CDS UX & Design offering ensuring that techniques are current, meet client requirements and are communicated and understood across the agency

UX Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the UX & design team, supporting their personal development within the agency
• Ensure that the UX & Design team meets regularly to share ideas
• Create a roadmap for the development of the team
• Develop a methodology and process for gathering success metrics and data across all projects and drive continuous improvement
• Lead recruitment and resource planning
• Provide delivery estimates for new/existing clients
• Contribute to bid/tender documentation
• Work closely with the frontend team to help define standards

Creative Responsibilities

·Lead creative sessions for projects

·Manage multiple projects from concept through completion

·Lead the development of creative programs and design concepts

·Provide quality control over concepts and projects

·Deliver a creative product of the highest standard that generates measurable business return for clients

·Inspire a culture of creative thinking and innovation

·Build strong relationships with clients, inspiring and exciting them about our creative work and the delivery on their brand promise

·Attend client briefings, client presentations and pitches

·Develop effective quality assurance and sign off mechanisms, and have the final sign off for all work leaving the agency

·Stay up to date with current trends and utilise this knowledge to expand creative thinking

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge UX and Design techniques
• Utilise latest tools, research and user testing techniques
• Understanding/implementation of WAI web accessibility guidelines
• Expert in mobile, responsive and adaptive user interface UX & design
• Solid understanding of SEO and analytics and their impact on good UX and Design
