What you will do:

- Conduct and supervise specialist laboratory investigations with high precision.
- Validate and interpret results to ensure clinical reliability, escalating vital findings as necessary.
- Maintain rigorous quality control and quality assurance in line with accreditation standards.
- Handle and maintain laboratory equipment, swiftly troubleshooting any issues.
- Train, guide, and assist junior staff and trainees, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Efficiently coordinate and prioritise the daily workload within your laboratory section.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, service improvements, and audits.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams ensuring seamless operations.
- Participate in shifts, including on-call and weekend duties, to keep the laboratory running smoothly.
- Maintain professional standards, continuing professional development, and HCPC registration.
