Family Solicitor

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Family Senior Associate or Principal Associate to join a highly regarded and growing Leeds-based team. This role focuses on advising an exclusively privately funded client base, with particular emphasis on complex financial matters and children cases involving professionals and high-net-worth individuals.

The team forms a key part of a wider national Family practice and works collaboratively with colleagues across private wealth, corporate, employment, and disputes. You will play an important role in strengthening the firm’s presence in the Leeds and wider Yorkshire market, while contributing to a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach to delivering high-quality, joined-up advice to clients with complex and often interconnected needs.

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from candidates with 5+ years’ PQE and strong experience in family law, gained within a leading City, regional, or specialist boutique firm.

You will:

• Demonstrate enthusiasm, ambition and a proactive mindset
• Deliver an exceptional standard of client service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and colleagues
• Show initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on complex matters
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong drafting ability
• Exhibit strong technical legal expertise and confident IT skills
• Embrace innovation, including the use of technology and AI in legal practice
• Have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines

Senior Associates will be expected to contribute to business development and practice growth, while Principal Associates will bring a more established track record in client relationship management and developing new business opportunities.
