A renowned manufacturer of special-purpose equipment, with a long-standing reputation and national presence, is embarking on an exciting new programme of development. To support this growth, they are seeking a Design Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Consult with customers at site to understand their needs and requirements
• Produce design drawings for quotation purposes
• Create detailed drawings for issue to manufacturing
• Ensure designs are within budget by working closely with estimators and sales team
• Design cost effective solutions utilising standard components and manufacturing techniques wherever possible

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a design related role
• BEng in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable
• Familiar with AutoCAD products
• Ability to hand sketch and measure at customer sites
• Able to travel and work away from home
