Requirements

• QTS/QTLS: Valid Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with current GCSE exam board specifications.
• Right to Work: Valid documentation to work in the UK.
• DBS: An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (on the update service) or willingness to apply for it.

• Subject Mastery: An expert-level understanding of the secondary mathematics curriculum.
• Adaptive Teaching: The ability to tailor complex concepts for varying ability levels.
• Data Fluency: Using assessment data to bridge gaps in student knowledge.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a focused, positive, and safe learning environment.
• Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using educational software and interactive tools.
• Effective Communication: The ability to explain logic clearly to students and parents.

• Lesson Planning: Designing schemes of work that challenge and inspire.
• Instruction: Delivering 18-20 hours of high-quality teaching per week.
• Assessment: Regular marking and constructive feedback in line with school policy.
• Progress Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on student achievement levels.
• Exam Prep: Equipping Year 11 students with the tools needed for GCSE success.
• Form Tutoring: Taking responsibility for the pastoral care of a designated group.

• CPD: Participating in ongoing professional development and staff meetings.
• Inclusion: Differentiating work to support SEND and EAL learners.
