Wayman Education is seeking a passionate and driven Maths Teacher to join a highly successful secondary school in Leeds . The Role

We are looking for a teacher who can demystify complex concepts and foster a love for problem-solving. You will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) , with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics or Core Maths for a suitably qualified candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Excellence: Deliver high-quality lessons in algebra, geometry, ratio, and statistics, ensuring all students make rapid and sustained progress.

• Exam Strategy: Prepare students for GCSE success by developing their fluency, mathematical reasoning, and ability to solve non-routine problems.

• Innovative Pedagogy: Utilize digital tools and manipulative resources to make abstract concepts concrete and accessible.

• Collaborative Planning: Work within a forward-thinking department to develop schemes of work that bridge the gap between KS2 and KS3.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• A degree in Mathematics or a highly quantitative subject (e.g., Engineering, Physics).

• Proven experience teaching Maths at least to GCSE level .

• A track record of "Good" or "Outstanding" classroom practice.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire confidence in students of all abilities.
