Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Deep knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE assessment frameworks.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Design and deliver stimulating English Language and Literature lessons that cater to all ability levels.
• Foster a love of reading through innovative classroom strategies and extracurricular engagement.
• Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are confident in their skills.
• Provide detailed, high-quality feedback that allows students to see their own path to progress.
• Utilise data-driven insights to identify and support students who may be falling behind.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that adheres to the school's behaviour policy.
• Contribute to the development of departmental resources and shared schemes of work.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student achievement and well being.
• Participate in school-wide events, parent's evenings, and departmental meetings.
• Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
