Salary: £40,000 – £46,000 per annum (DOE)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Senior / Audit & Accounts Senior / Audit & Assurance Senior to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Leeds.

This role is ideal for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with strong UK practice experience looking to take the next step within a dynamic and supportive environment offering hybrid working, progression, and exposure to a varied client portfolio.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and accounts services to a diverse client base, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and corporate groups.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and completing audit assignments from planning through to completion

* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies and group entities

* Managing audit files and working papers for Manager and Partner review

* Supporting on group audits, subsidiaries, and consolidated accounts

* Liaising with clients to obtain relevant financial information and resolve queries

* Ensuring assignments are completed within budget and deadlines

* Assisting junior staff and supporting the wider audit and accounts team

* Involvement in client relationship management and advisory work

About You

* ACA or ACCA Qualified (essential)

* Minimum 5+ years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice

* Strong experience in Audit, Accounts Preparation, and Financial Reporting

* Experience working with SMEs, limited companies, and group structures

* Solid understanding of UK GAAP, FRS102, and audit processes

* Confident managing audits and working directly with clients

* Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
