RTA Paralegal – Leeds

Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced RTA Litigated Recovery Fee Earner / Paralegal to manage a high-volume caseload of litigated recovery matters.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of litigated RTA recovery files , delivering robust and quality-driven claims handling with a strong focus on maximising recoveries within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a high-volume caseload of litigated recovery matters in accordance with internal procedures and best practice
• Ensuring the firm's Case Management System is consistently updated and fully utilised
• Progressing cases proactively using all appropriate communication channels
• Providing professional, timely and commercially focused legal advice to source and lay clients, managing expectations throughout
• Taking a practical and commercial approach to settlements, advising clients clearly on risk
• Working towards and exceeding performance targets relating to recoveries and lifecycle management, without compromising integrity
• Liaising effectively with sources, experts, third-party insurers and other relevant stakeholders
• Performing to a high standard within a target-driven environment
• Supporting wider team and business objectives as required

About You

The firm is keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience managing a caseload of RTA litigated recovery or ULR claims , or hands-on experience handling key tasks within such cases
• Knowledge of liability issues, including the Road Traffic Act and Article 75
• Experience dealing with customers or stakeholders in a client-focused environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Competence using case management systems and MS Office
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality service to both clients and the wider business
