Lead Social Worker
Senior / Supervising Social Worker (Home‑Based)
Salary: Up to £40,948.53 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Home‑based role supporting foster parents across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Senior / Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly, dynamic team. In this role you will lead the recruitment, training, assessment, support, and supervision of a diverse range of foster carers, ensuring high‑quality placements for looked‑after children.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, assess, and approve new foster carers.
- Deliver ongoing training and development for carers.
- Provide regular supervision and support to carers, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Maintain high standards of placement quality and safeguarding.
- Collaborate closely with external agencies, professionals, and internal managers.
- Prepare accurate, high‑quality reports and case documentation.
About You – Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
- Strong assessment abilities and excellent written & verbal communication.
- Proficient IT skills and a track record of producing clear reports.
- Good working knowledge of fostering legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
- Recent experience in fostering or children’s services is desirable, though candidates with less experience will also be considered.
- Self‑starter attitude, able to work independently while maintaining regular contact with team members and carers.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and aligned with the organization’s innovative vision.
Working Conditions
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- Home‑based work with occasional travel within Yorkshire.
