Senior / Supervising Social Worker (Home‑Based)

Salary: Up to £40,948.53 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Home‑based role supporting foster parents across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Senior / Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly, dynamic team. In this role you will lead the recruitment, training, assessment, support, and supervision of a diverse range of foster carers, ensuring high‑quality placements for looked‑after children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, assess, and approve new foster carers.
  • Deliver ongoing training and development for carers.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to carers, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of placement quality and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate closely with external agencies, professionals, and internal managers.
  • Prepare accurate, high‑quality reports and case documentation.

About You – Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
  • Strong assessment abilities and excellent written & verbal communication.
  • Proficient IT skills and a track record of producing clear reports.
  • Good working knowledge of fostering legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Recent experience in fostering or children’s services is desirable, though candidates with less experience will also be considered.
  • Self‑starter attitude, able to work independently while maintaining regular contact with team members and carers.
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and aligned with the organization’s innovative vision.

Working Conditions

  • Full‑time, permanent position.
  • Home‑based work with occasional travel within Yorkshire.
  • Competitive salary up to £40,948.53, plus car allowance or company car.
