Behaviour Mentor - Primary School (Permanent, Full-Time)

• £22,000 - £23,000 per annum
• Full-Time | Term Time (plus additional days may be required)

NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Leeds (LS9) on a full-time, permanent basis .

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and resilient individual who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs, SEN, and SEMH to succeed both academically and personally.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with Key Stage 2 pupils who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and structured environment that enables pupils to thrive.

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs
• Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo, and pastoral teams
• Support pupils in developing social skills and emotional resilience
• Monitor behaviour, track progress, and contribute to reports and reviews
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

• Recent experience working with KS2 pupils in a professional setting
• Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEN, and/or SEMH needs
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Passionate about making a difference in children's lives
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
