Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer Location: Leeds Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 + benefits A well-established, multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy are looking to appoint a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their growing Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role on a diverse portfolio of contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the UK. The Role As a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects from initial phase through to completion. You will take ownership of technical delivery, client liaison, and mentoring junior engineers within the team. Key responsibilities include: Managing site investigations including Phase 1 desk studies and Phase 2 ground investigations Interpretation of soil, gas and groundwater data Production of interpretative reports including risk assessments and remediation strategies Client and stakeholder liaison, providing technical advice and project updates Overseeing subcontractors and site works, ensuring quality and H&S compliance Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and graduates Contributing to business development and bid preparation where required About You Degree qualified in geology, environmental science, civil engineering or a related discipline Strong experience within geoenvironmental consultancy (typically 5+ years) Solid understanding of contaminated land assessment and UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, BS5930, BS10175) Confident report writing and data interpretation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Full UK driving licence Benefits Competitive salary and performance bonus Hybrid working options Funded training and chartership support (ICE / GeolSoc) Clear progression pathway to Principal Engineer Private healthcare and enhanced pension scheme Opportunity to work on varied and high-profile UK development projects
