Finance Analyst

Our client is a leading SME with a prominent brand and a strong market presence, based in Leeds. Due to continued business growth and a commitment to innovation, they're looking for a Finance Analyst to join their journey of finance team modernisation.

The Opportunity: As a Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting core finance operations and have the chance to shape how things are done. You'll be hands-on with month-end duties and also drive improvements through tech, analysis, and process automation.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting monthly financial processes and reporting alongside the wider finance team
• Using advanced Excel skills-and ideally your knowledge of AI tools-to streamline and enhance finance processes, reporting, and data integrity
• Identifying ways to automate repetitive tasks and provide meaningful, actionable insights for leadership
• Collaborating across business functions to drive continuous improvement within the finance function
• Contributing to a culture of innovation as the company continues to grow

What we're looking for:

• Strong Excel capability with genuine enthusiasm for efficiency, data, and process improvement; exposure to or interest in AI tools and automation is a plus
• Solid grounding in core finance (e.g., supporting month end, posting journals, reconciling accounts)
• Part qualified/newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) OR suitably qualified by experience-relevant backgrounds considered
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a positive, forward-thinking team
• Adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to make a difference

The offer:

• £35,000 - £45,000 salary (depending on experience)
