Serious Injury Associate

Stride Resource Management Ltd
Leeds
If you are a Serious Injury Associate doing good work in the wrong environment, this should catch your eye

You will be joining a specialist personal injury team handling significant and often life-changing claims. The work demands technical ability, commercial awareness and a calm head. It also gives you the chance to build credibility in a part of the market where experienced people are hard to find and even harder to replace.

This is not about running a bloated caseload for the sake of it. It is about quality over noise. As a Serious Injury Associate, you will be trusted with files that need proper thinking, sensible strategy and strong client handling. You will work closely with colleagues, experts and stakeholders across the insurance market, with the opportunity to make a real impact on outcomes rather than simply keep matters moving.

What you'll be doing:

* Managing a caseload of serious injury matters, including high-value and complex claims
* Handling claims involving catastrophic injury, brain injury, spinal injury or other severe loss
* Reviewing liability, causation, medical evidence and quantum in detail
* Developing case strategy from early stage through to resolution
* Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and insurers in a measured and credible way
* Negotiating settlements and supporting litigation where required
* Maintaining strong technical standards while balancing the commercial realities of the insurance sector

What they're looking for:

* Proven experience handling serious injury or catastrophic injury claims
* A solicitor, legal executive or fee earner operating at Serious Injury Associate level or ready to step into it
* Strong understanding of complex personal injury litigation
* Confidence dealing with sensitive client matters and high-value files
* Commercial awareness and an appreciation of how claims strategy aligns with the wider insurance market
* A steady, thoughtful approach rather than a volume-driven mindset

What's on offer:

* Salary between £50,000 and £75,000 depending on experience
* Access to high-quality serious injury work with genuine complexity
* A credible platform within a specialist team linked closely to the insurance sector
* Autonomy to manage your work without constant interference
* Clear room to develop as a Serious Injury Associate
* A professional environment that values sound judgement, consistency and strong client care

This Serious Injury Associate opportunity will suit someone who has already built solid experience and wants to apply it in a setting where the work is meaningful and the standards are high. If you are looking for a move within the insurance-linked serious injury market that offers better quality work, more trust and a stronger long-term proposition, this is worth serious consideration.
