Personalized Learning Assistant
One‑to‑One Teaching Assistant (Full‑Time, Fixed‑Term)

Contract & Compensation
- Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time, term‑time only
- Salary: £21,257.48 – £23,232.69 per annum
- Location: Headingley, Leeds
- Start dates: Various – January to March 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and support one pupil or a small group (maximum six pupils)
- Assist the classroom teacher during lessons and help with lesson planning
- Report on pupil progress, raise concerns, and liaise with staff to meet individual needs
- Supervise pupils during non‑classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips
- Adapt resources to suit the learning requirements of young people
- Build positive relationships that encourage interaction and successful learning outcomes
Essential Requirements
- Strong basic education – ideally A‑levels; minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
- Sound IT skills
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a comparable support role
- Experience working with pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Confidence to take additional responsibilities (e.g., food hygiene, forest school, lunchtime supervision, school yoga)
- Knowledge of behaviour‑management techniques
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (cost covered by the organization)
