Thrive Personnel are currently recruiting Yard Operatives to join a busy and well-established wood manufacturing company based in Leeds (LS13).

The Role

As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the yard and dispatch operations. Duties will include:

* Picking and preparing orders accurately

* Handling and moving timber and wood products

* Preparing goods for dispatch and customer collection

* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

* Working around wood spraying and treatment areas

* Supporting general yard and stock control duties

This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling and working in an outdoor/industrial setting.

Working Environment

The role is based in a busy wood manufacturing yard. Please note:

* The environment can be noisy due to machinery

* Dust and wood particles may be present, particularly near spraying areas

* Appropriate PPE will be required at all times

Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Pay and Benefits

* £12.71 per hour

* Weekly pay

* Overtime may be available depending on workload

* Candidates with a Counterbalance Forklift Licence are highly desirable but not esstential

* Opportunity to assist with FLT duties when required

* Potential for additional incentives

Working Hours

* Monday to Friday

* 6:00am – 2:30pm

Requirements

* Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred

* Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Counterbalance FLT licence is advantageous but not essential
