Planning Associate (2–5 PQE) – Leeds

We are working with a leading UK commercial law firm on an exciting opportunity within their well-regarded Planning team in Leeds. This is an excellent chance to join a dynamic and growing practice known for advising on complex, high-profile development projects across the UK.

The team advises a broad range of clients, including national housebuilders, developers, investors, landowners, and public sector bodies, on all aspects of planning law. Their work includes advising on large-scale residential and mixed-use developments, strategic land promotion, planning applications and appeals, section 106 agreements, highways and infrastructure matters, and environmental and regulatory issues. Associates will also gain exposure to contentious planning matters, including judicial reviews and enforcement issues.

This role is ideally suited to an associate with solid planning law experience who is looking to work on high-quality, varied matters within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be encouraged to take ownership of workstreams, build strong client relationships, and support on business development initiatives, while working closely with partners on complex and high-value projects.

Requirements:

You will have 2-5 PQE experience working on Planning in England & Wales, or common law jurisdictions

Salary is £67-£85k depending on your level of experience, as well as a leading bonus structure.
