Live in Care

We have an upcoming live-in care opportunity in Leeds and wanted to check your availability and interest for this placement. Please find the details below:

Project Details:

• Start Date: SOON
• Duration: Long-term (at least 4–6 weeks, possibly longer)
• Location: Leeds
• Pay: £700 per week
• Food Allowance: TBC
• Accommodation: You will be living in separate accommodation. Transport to and from the accommodation will be provided by the team.

Care Type: Complex care (2:1 support)

Client Overview:

• Bed-bound client requiring full support with all aspects of care
• Diagnosed with conditions including ME/CFS, chronic pain, and mental health needs

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Full personal care, including hygiene and continence support (may take several hours)
• Gentle handling due to extreme pain and sensitivity
• Supporting with feeding and fluids (meals may take extended time)
• Assisting with a complex medication routine, including PRN medication
• Repositioning in bed (2-carer support required for moving & handling)

Working Environment & Approach:

• Low-stimulation environment (low light, minimal noise, no strong smells)
• Client may be non-verbal at times and communicates via phone/text/voice notes
• Must communicate calmly, slowly, and clearly
• Willingness to wear a face mask at all times
• Ability to follow strict care routines and respect the client’s preferences and boundaries
• Resilient and professional approach to managing complex behaviours

Additional Notes:

• Flexible working hours required, including nights (client has a reversed sleep pattern)
• You will be working alongside another carer during your shift
