Temporary Junior Finance Analyst

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established organisation seeking a motivated and commercially minded Junior Finance Analyst for a 4-month temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience within finance while working closely with a dynamic sales function.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting commercial decision-making through data analysis, pricing insight, and cross-functional collaboration. It’s ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with data, influencing outcomes, and building strong working relationships across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the sales team to support pricing strategies and commercial decisions
Analyse margins and evaluate the financial impact of pricing changes
Produce, interpret, and present sales data to inform business decisions
Manage incoming queries via a shared inbox, ensuring timely responses
Liaise with field-based sales colleagues to provide pricing guidance and insights
Support the sales management team and wider business with reporting and analysis
Assist in process improvements and the implementation of new initiatives
Gather key business information and prepare regular reports
Provide general administrative support where required

Skills & Experience Required

Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and IF functions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both office-based and field sales teams
Commercial awareness, with an understanding of margins and pricing impact
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
