Purpose of the Role
To ensure the site is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes regular waste removal, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning of all surfaces, kitchens, and toilets. The role supports a clean, safe, and professional environment for staff and visitors by responding promptly to any spillages or hygiene concerns.
Key Responsibilities
• Emptying waste bins and replacing liners throughout office areas, kitchens, and restrooms.
• Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, and washroom surfaces.
• Mopping hard floors and vacuuming carpeted areas.
• Wiping down desks, workstations, and communal surfaces.
• Cleaning kitchen areas, including sinks, countertops, and appliances.
• Spot cleaning of internal glass and low-level surfaces.
• Promptly attending to and cleaning any food or liquid spillages.
• Dusting and removing debris from accessible surfaces and corners.
• Following site-specific cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor or facilities team.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
• Experience in commercial or office cleaning environments.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to cleanliness and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Presentable appearance and professional attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor areas as needed.
• Willingness to undertake additional training relevant to the role.
Desirable
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH regulations.
• Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
Working Hours - 18.75hrs/week - 3.75 per day, Monday-Friday
Salary - £12.71ph
