Summary

The Apprentice Parts Controller will learn and operate the parts operation in the most cost-effective manner whilst ensuring the service level does not deteriorate.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Ensuring that inventory levels are constantly reviewed and monitored including depot stock (Garforth and Spitalfields), Engineers van stocks and impressed stocks, ensuring that minimum stock levels are maintained
• Taking verbal and written parts requests from the Service Desk team, workshop and Field Service Engineers and to purchase components as necessary to support the maintenance and repair of the fleet within limits agreed

• Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
• support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
• Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
• Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
