In House Tax Assistant Manager

This international business is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Assistant Tax Manager to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our tax reporting, compliance, planning, and strategy – working closely with both the group corporate tax manager and indirect tax manager. This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in tax principles who is looking to grow their skills and take the next step in their career.

Duties Include:
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
• Assist the tax team in tax planning and strategy development to optimize the company’s tax position.
• Help manage and coordinate tax audits and inquiries from various taxation authorities. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to mitigate tax risks.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax provision calculations.
• Monitor legislative changes in tax laws that could impact the company and advise on necessary adjustments to practices and policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of tax function.
• Provide support in tax-related projects, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and other strategic initiatives.
• Educate and advise internal stakeholders on tax matters, ensuring tax compliance in business operations.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to management on tax issues and strategies.

You will ideally be working towards your ACA /CTA or have recently qualified and have excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. A great first move in house with competitive salary and attractive benefits including free parking.
