Hygiene Manager
- Annual Salary: Up to £50k (negotiable)
- Location: Leeds
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (flexibility required to support site needs)
- Manage the Hygiene Team, including handling holiday requests, absence management, overtime, periodic reviews, recruitment, and issue resolution.
- Work collaboratively with different departments to maintain required hygiene standards.
- Train operational and hygiene staff in best cleaning practices to ensure effective cleaning against the Cleaning Instruction Card (CIC).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure the availability of correct cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.
- Manage pest control contractors and conduct root cause analyses to implement corrective actions.
- Participate actively in customer and compliance audits.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment at all times.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing hygiene management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with COSHH, HACCP, audit preparation, compliance, allergens, and pest control.
- Relevant certifications or training, such as M&S Hygiene Course or food safety courses.
- Demonstrable achievements in improving hygiene performance, audits, or other relevant improvements.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Competitive salary up to £50k, negotiable based on experience.
