Banking & Finance Professional Support Lawyer

Senior Finance PSL - Banking & Finance | 4+ PQE | Flexible Working Options | Leeds/Nottingham We are partnering with a prestigious global law firm to expand their renowned Banking & Finance team. Due to continued success and growth, they are seeking a Senior Finance Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join their UK Finance team. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of knowledge services across a variety of complex domestic and international transactions. About the Role As a Senior Finance PSL, you'll collaborate with experienced PSLs and senior partners to support the firm's Finance team. Your responsibilities will include managing and enhancing team precedents, drafting both internal and client-facing updates, coordinating training sessions, and driving legal technology initiatives. Additionally, you will be involved in horizon scanning, addressing sector-critical matters, and contributing to firm-wide process improvements. This is an exciting role for someone passionate about combining technical legal work, knowledge management, and innovative legal tech solutions within a dynamic, fast-paced team. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in Corporate Finance and Commercial Advisory teams, exchanging best practices and delivering joint initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Manage, update, and improve team precedents, guidance notes, and toolkits
• Produce internal and client-facing bulletins, briefings, and horizon scanning reports
• Organise and deliver training materials, including for newly qualified (NQ) lawyers
• Collaborate with the Legal Technology Group to implement innovative legal solutions
• Lead on key sector matters, providing strategic insights and support
• Contribute to ad hoc queries and firm-wide process improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in Banking and Finance law, ideally with a focus on Corporate Debt/Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, or Energy & Infrastructure Finance
• Strong interest in legal technology and familiarity with the tools available in the market
• Creative, proactive, and collaborative, with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and high-level legal writing abilities
• PSL experience is preferred but not essential; applications from candidates looking to transition into PSL roles are welcome
