Senior Investment Assistant
About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Assistant to join their Leeds-based team. This is a key position within the front office support function, offering the opportunity to work closely with Investment Managers while delivering an exceptional client experience.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting client portfolios, overseeing administrative processes, and acting as a senior point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external partners. This role also includes mentoring junior team members and contributing to ongoing operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for administrative queries relating to client portfolios
- Provide high-quality support to Investment Managers, including trade processing and client servicing
- Oversee and ensure timely, accurate execution of administrative tasks
- Take ownership of account opening processes, ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Allocate and review work across the support team, providing guidance and mentoring
- Build strong working relationships across departments (e.g. compliance, treasury, client onboarding)
- Support and contribute to process improvements and internal projects
- Handle escalations and complex queries, acting as a technical expert within the team
- Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar front office or investment support role within wealth or asset management
- Level 4 qualification (e.g. Investment Advice Diploma) preferred
- Strong understanding of investment operations and client servicing
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Collaborative team player with leadership capability
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with front office systems is advantageous
