Private Client Solicitor – Leeds

A highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join its growing Leeds-based team. This role offers an excellent career move for a lawyer with 4+ PQE who is keen to develop within a Legal 500 recognised department, advising a sophisticated client base that includes high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses.

The Role

You will handle a broad and engaging range of Private Client matters, working alongside experienced colleagues while playing an active role in the continued development of the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload covering wills, trusts, estate planning, inheritance tax planning and lasting powers of attorney
• Administering estates, including complex and high-value matters
• Building trusted, long-term relationships with private clients
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external advisers on succession planning, international assets and HMRC-related matters
• Attending STEP and networking events to raise your professional profile
• Contributing to knowledge sharing, research and best practice within the wider team

About You

You will have:

• At least 2 years' PQE in Private Client law, with solid experience across wills, trusts, estates and inheritance tax planning
• Exposure to advising high net worth individuals or business owners (desirable)
• An interest in, or progress towards, STEP membership (advantageous)
• An appreciation of the interaction between Private Client work and Corporate, Family and Property law
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and empathetically
• A genuine interest in joining a Legal 500 Band 2 ranked team recognised for its expertise and supportive working culture
