Veritas Education are looking at expanding their secondary cover teaching and supervisor supply team due to an increase in demand across the Leeds area. You will be part of an essential supply and bank staff team, supporting a range of secondary schools in covering lessons when the class teacher is off or absent.

The Role:

• Deliver pre-planned work set by the class teacher, following the lesson plans, structure and content, ensuring students complete as much of the tasks as possible.
• Manager behaviour throughout the class, making sure students are staying on tasks, not being disruptive and if needing too, following the schools behaviour policy when students choose to not follow class instructions.
• Ensure the classroom is left in a neat, tidy and orderly fashion, ready for the class following, keeping all resources and work books ready for the next lesson.
• Reporting any issues regarding behaviour, the work set or anything safeguarding related straight to the school contact or any member of Senior Leadership Team.
• Be confident in delivering a range of different secondary subjects, you don't have to be a specialist in every subject to be able to delivery an engaging lesson!

Supply teaching or cover supervisor work is ideal for anyone recently completed their QTS or is in process of becoming a qualified teacher, as it gives you direct experience in different schools delivering a range of subjects across new schools! A great opportunity for any education based students looking to gain further experience and work in schools!
