Sous Chef (Nights)
We are expanding and are looking for an sous chef to take their next step on the management ladder to work in a facility that is less than 2 years old feeding Amazon Associates.

Job Opportunity: Sous Chef (Nights)
Location: Amazon LBA5, LS9 0DZ
Pay Rate: £15.50 – £16.00 per hour (based on experience)
⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 7.30pm – 3:30am
Working Pattern: 5 nights over 7 (including weekends)
Overtime: Paid, if required
Operation: 24/7 Site
We’re looking for an Sous Chef for the the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen within a 24/7 operation. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and reliable chef ready to take the next step in their culinary career.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the smooth running of daily kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene
Support with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
Lead and inspire junior kitchen staff when required
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a CDP or Senior CDP in a high-volume environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
A team player with a positive attitude and passion for food
Flexibility to work weekends as part of a 5 over 7 schedule

Job Description

Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Chef's
- Have an obsession for food and creating experiences
- You can demonstrate that managing, training, and supporting a team has been an important part of your career to date
- Financially astute, you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
- Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and able to thrive under pressure
- Meticulous organisational abilities and a high attention to detail
- Empathetic, clear and highly effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
- Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
