Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: up to £70,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established and reputable engineering contractor delivering high-quality mechanical projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Liverpool.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial planning through to completion. You will act as the key point of contact for clients while managing internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage mechanical projects from inception to completion
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
* Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and resources
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
* Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders
* Oversee procurement and subcontractor coordination
* Conduct site visits and attend progress meetings
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role
* Strong background in mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, etc.)
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
Desirable:
* Experience working with main contractors or M&E subcontractors
* Knowledge of UK building regulations
* SMSTS or similar health & safety certification
