Industrial Disease Solicitor
Industrial Disease Solicitor – Leeds – Up to £50K Salary - REF9940968
A well-established and growing claimant personal injury team is looking to appoint a solicitor with a strong background in industrial disease work. The team handles a varied caseload of occupational illness claims, including asbestos-related illness, NIHL, HAVS and occupational stress, acting for private individuals.
The role will involve managing cases from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, covering both pre-litigation and litigated matters. You will undertake liability and quantum assessments, draft pleadings, manage disclosure, witness evidence and expert reports, and conduct advocacy at interim hearings where appropriate.
The Candidate
- Solicitor with NQ+ years’ post-qualification experience or equivalent
- Strong experience in claimant personal injury and industrial disease matters
- Experience handling asbestos-related illness and occupational illness claims
- Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Advocacy experience and confidence managing interim hearings
