Field Service Engineer – Forklifts

Our client is a family-run business with nearly 40 years’ experience in the materials handling industry. The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of forklifts across Leeds and West Yorkshire. While our client is an HC dealer, you’ll also work on a variety of other manufacturers’ trucks — so no two days are the same.

You’ll be working independently for the most part, but with the support of a friendly, experienced team behind you. The work is planned so you’re never hours away from home — they genuinely believe you should be able to get home for your tea.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out repairs and planned maintenance on customer forklifts
Working on electric and LPG trucks (diesel experience is a bonus)
Maintaining the company’s own forklift fleet when required
Providing excellent customer service as the face of the business
Managing your time efficiently and working safely at all times
About You

At least 2 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer in the material handling industry
Strong experience with electric and LPG forklifts
Diesel forklift experience advantageous but not essential
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Good time management and problem-solving abilities
Clean UK driving licence
