Job Title: Catastrophic Injury Associate

Salary: £40,000 to £60,000

Location: Leeds City Centre (with hybrid working)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Overview:

CRA Consulting is a specialist legal recruitment partner supporting law firms of all sizes across the UK - from boutique practices to major national and international organisations. We recruit across the full legal spectrum, from senior leadership and partner-level appointments through to fee earners and business support professionals.

Our client is a global legal brand with an esteemed reputation and strong international coverage across multiple legal markets. The firm is recognised for its forward-thinking approach, modern infrastructure, and delivery of high-quality legal services to commercial and insurer clients. With stylish and contemporary office space across a number of UK locations, the organisation combines international reach with a collaborative and vibrant working culture.

The firm has a highly regarded catastrophic and complex injury practice, handling significant, high-value matters involving serious and life-changing injuries. Lawyers within the team are trusted to manage technically demanding claims while working closely with leading insurer clients, counsel, and experts. The environment promotes collaboration, professional development, and exposure to strategically important litigation.

Position:

As a Catastrophic Injury Associate, you will manage a diverse caseload of complex liability and high-value injury claims, including catastrophic and serious injury matters. You will advise clients on liability, quantum, and coverage issues, providing commercially focused and technically robust guidance throughout the life cycle of each case.

Your responsibilities will include drafting pleadings, witness statements, and detailed reports, as well as liaising directly with clients, counsel, and medical or technical experts. You will play an active role in shaping case strategy, participating in negotiations, and contributing to settlement discussions to achieve commercially sound outcomes.

The role will also involve supporting partners on larger or strategically important matters, ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in line with client expectations and service level agreements. You will be expected to maintain high technical standards, manage risk effectively, and contribute positively to the wider team environment.

The firm offers flexible, agile, and hybrid working arrangements, alongside clear opportunities for progression within a nationally recognised catastrophic injury practice.

Key Details:

The firm offers a comprehensive employee benefits package, including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 27 days with continued service, and an additional well-being day on top of annual leave entitlement. There is also a lifestyle and well-being allowance, enhanced pension scheme, private medical insurance, private healthcare scheme, life assurance policy, and income protection scheme.

Additional benefits include a financial rewards scheme, electric vehicle scheme, sabbatical scheme, enhanced parental and family leave, eye care support, and a discretionary performance-related bonus scheme. The firm promotes flexible, agile, and hybrid working arrangements, supporting work-life balance alongside high-quality legal practice.

The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with hybrid working available. Salary will be dependent on experience and level of qualification.
