Overview of the role:

We are looking for a Partnerships & Communities Manager to join our PokerStars.com Marketing team.

The Partnerships & Communities Manager will be leading on defining the plans across our owned & earned channels within the PokerStars.com region. In this role you will work closely with the Marketing Strategy & Content Manager to define strategy and align plans across Performance, Brand and Customer Marketing channels to deliver the most outcome and help to achieve our set objectives.

The Partnerships & Communities Manager will lead on defining the regional live events plans and regional Partnerships, within close collaboration with the PokerStars network team (e.g. Irish Open, Goliath, BSOP) and the Head of Marketing.

Further the Partnerships & Communities Manager will work closely together with the Blog & Education and Social Media team in order to maximise and align the impact from those channels as best as possible with the wider plans across Performance, Brand and Customer comms.

Furthermore, the Partnerships & Communities Manager will be responsible to lead on regional PR & Trade media relationships (and align closely with the PokerStars network on global comms strategy and execution), as well as manage reginal specific talents & ambassadors.

The Partnerships & Communities Manager will work closely with the Marketing Strategy & Content Manager and the Head of Marketing and feed into our overall marketing strategy on how to leverage our global and regional assets in order to achieve our regional PokerStars.com objectives.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.

What you'll do:

How we communicate with our customers and how we ensure we have 2-way conversations with the industry and the communities within the global .COM liquidity is something that is extremely important to the way we engage with our current and prospective customers. Across this team, and working alongside others within PokerStars.com Marketing, we need you to drive forward the regional brand marketing initiatives, aligned with our global brand strategy, but execute local content-led brand initiatives in key markets.

The main focus of this role will be to master the planning and execution of all our owned and earned marketing assets and channel plans by ensuring all activities are focused on achieving the defined targets, and the constant optimisation of our execution.

We need a hands on profile that is able to refresh our approach on how to leverage owned & earned assets based on current media consumption and social behaviors from our customers.

A strong leader and strong communicator

Passionate about Poker, the gambling industry, and the news and activities within it

Experienced in Talent management, working with agencies, PR knowledge and understanding of live events with great relationship management skills

Experienced and excited to drive our regional live events and partnerships forward with a strong activation plan to drive live to online and online to live conversions.

Able to define and refresh our approach on how to use owned and earned assets to drive positive brand awareness and consideration

Experienced in working with local media outlets, brief and execute PR relevant statements to create earned media value.

Passionate about poker and working with numerous partners within the space in how to promote or engage with the game and our offerings

Fresh mind that helps us to drive PokerStars.com brand as part of Flutter

Experienced in managing large and complex projects, with stakeholders in various teams

Able to create and drive forward team goals, individual goals and ensure the right prioritisation to achieve our set regional objectives

Able to drive and manage the execution of complex plan within set budgets

Someone who our influencers, celebrities, ambassadors and Partners can engage with to create mutually beneficial commercial relationships

To input into the wider PokerStars brand strategy across all areas of marketing and customer comms and support the wider Leadership team in the overall strategy, solutions and execution

Your skills:

Essential:

Strong people skills

Overall understanding of Poker Live Events, PR and Partnerships and Ambassador relations

Excellent writing ability

Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of internal departments, agencies, freelancers, and press

Relationship management Experience

Positive attitude and willingness to jump into projects at any given time, with the capability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and problem solve on the go

Flexibility and willingness to travel and work unusual hours as needed

High attention to detail

Passionate for Poker community, news, activities, content and Live Events

Experience in managing team budgets effectively and efficiently

Knowledge of online gaming/gambling industry, specifically Poker
