Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring music instruction to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a pivotal role in nurturing their musical talents, encouraging self-expression, and cultivating an appreciation for the diverse world of music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver innovative music lessons that align with the national curriculum and cater to a range of musical abilities and interests.
• Conduct individual and group instrumental and vocal lessons, fostering students' technical skills and performance confidence.
• Organize and lead school ensembles, choirs, and musical productions, providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to create a vibrant and enriching musical culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
• Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres.
• A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering student creativity and engagement.
