Design Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our growing team in Leeds, supporting a major long-term water infrastructure framework across Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure projects that improve water and wastewater services for communities across the region. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Develop and produce civil engineering designs for water and wastewater projects * Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports * Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and other design disciplines * Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices * Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises * Support project delivery from concept through to construction About You * 4–6 years’ experience in a design engineering role * Background in civil engineering, ideally within water or infrastructure sectors * Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) * Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations * Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively * Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Desirable * Experience working on UK water frameworks or similar infrastructure / civils projects * Progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or equivalent) * Knowledge of sustainable design and modern construction methods What’s on Offer * Very competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work on long-term, high-profile infrastructure programmes * Career development and professional progression support * Supportive and collaborative team environment If you’re looking to take the next step in your engineering career and be part of impactful infrastructure delivery, we’d like to hear from you
