Private Client Solicitor 2-6 PQE – Leeds

A well-respected law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer with 2-6 years' PQE to advance their career within a Legal 500 recognised department, working with a high-calibre client base that includes high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses.

Depending on your experience, you will join the team at either Solicitor level (up to 4 PQE) or Associate level (4+ PQE).

The Role:

You will manage a varied portfolio of Private Client work, supported by experienced colleagues, while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the team.

Your role will include:

• Managing your own caseload, advising on wills, trusts, estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation and lasting powers of attorney
• Handling estate administration, including complex and high-value estates
• Acting as a trusted advisor to private clients and building long-term relationships
• Working with colleagues and external professionals on succession planning, international assets and HMRC compliance
• Attending STEP and networking events to enhance your professional profile
• Collaborating with the wider team on legal research and knowledge sharing

About You:

You will bring:

• A minimum of 2 years' PQE in Private Client law, with experience across wills, trusts, estates and inheritance tax planning
• Experience advising high net worth clients or business owners (desirable)
• Interest in, or progress towards, STEP membership (advantageous)
• An understanding of how Private Client work overlaps with Corporate, Family and Property law
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and compassionately
• A desire to join a Legal 500 Band 2 ranked team known for its depth of expertise and supportive culture
