Credit Controller

Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit for a Credit Controller based in Leeds.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced credit professional to join a high-performing Credit Control team. You will take ownership of your own client ledger, managing collections and reducing aged debt while delivering a professional client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage your own client ledger, contacting clients by phone and email to secure outstanding payments.
• Accurately document client interactions and maintain ledger segmentation.
• Prioritise workload to meet monthly cash collection and aged debt targets.
• Support the team inbox on a rota basis after initial training.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' credit control experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience advantageous but not essential).
• Proven track record in meeting and exceeding cash collection and aged debt reduction targets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, confident communicating with clients and internal teams at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload under pressure.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and other relevant systems.
