Personal Injury Solicitor

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor, Legal Executive or accomplished file handler to join its growing personal injury team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a caseload of orthopaedic RTA claims from start to finish within a supportive and progressive legal environment.

This role will suit a technically strong litigator who enjoys delivering high-quality outcomes for clients while working collaboratively within a high-performing team.

The role involves managing a caseload of litigated and non-litigated orthopaedic personal injury claims, including:

• RTA claims involving fractures such as ribs, limbs, fingers and toes
• Primarily portal-based claims, with fast-track potential
• Escalation of higher-value or multi-fracture claims exceeding £25,000 to Multi-Track or Serious Injury teams
• Running cases independently from inception through to conclusion

This is a varied and rewarding position for candidates focused on maximising damages and delivering an excellent standard of client care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing your caseload efficiently from instruction through to settlement or trial
• Providing a high standard of client care with regular and clear communication
• Investigating liability and quantum thoroughly, including advising on contributory negligence
• Progressing claims through the MOJ and OIC portals and escalating where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate records and timely updates on the case management system
• Liaising with medical experts, counsel, insurers and external agencies
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
• Identifying opportunities to convert suitable claims to fast-track or multi-track
• Ensuring compliance with CPR and all relevant procedural timeframes

About you

• A qualified Solicitor, CILEX lawyer or experienced personal injury file handler
• Proven experience handling fast-track RTA claims, including MOJ and OIC portal work
• Strong knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and relevant case law
• Excellent communication, client care and negotiation skills
