This prestigious independent school requires an experienced and meticulous Senior Science Technician to specialise in providing technical support for the Chemistry department up to A-Level. The role demands advanced preparation for complex practicals and ensuring strict safety compliance within the high-standard laboratory environment.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Chemistry Preparation: Preparing complex chemical solutions, managing stock rotation, and setting up advanced practical apparatus for Key Stage 4 and 5 Chemistry lessons.
Safety Champion: Ensuring rigorous compliance with CLEAPSS guidelines, carrying out chemical risk assessments, and managing the chemical inventory.
Laboratory Management: Maintaining, cleaning, and organising all Chemistry-specific equipment and ordering supplies efficiently within budget.
