Technical Lead - Mobile Digital Network Products
We have a great new role for a Technical Lead - Mobile Digital Network Products to join our Digital Network Transformation team .
The Mobile Domain Technical Lead provides end-to-end technical leadership across Mobile digital network products , ensuring high-quality design, delivery, and operation of services for mobile customers. This role spans Lead-to-Cash and Trouble-to-Resolve journeys , aligned with digital end-state architecture and TM Forum frameworks .
The role is a technical authority for Mobile network products , guiding multiple supplier deliveries, influencing design decisions, and ensuring products are secure, scalable, and performant. This includes testing hypotheses, defining design constraints, best practices, and enabling automation across the domain
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Design Authority
- Provide technical leadership across the Mobile product domain, ensuring alignment to digital end-state architecture and TMF-aligned Lead-to-Cash and service orchestration processes.
- Guide technical design and operational decisions for 5G Core, 4G EPC, RAN, Open RAN, vRAN, network slicing, VoLTE, and associated mobile services.
- Quality assure technical designs, workflow automation, and orchestration delivered through tools like Itential, Appian, and Siteflow.
- Actively participate in element managers roadmap, such as EMS or NetAct.
Delivery Oversight & Supplier Governance
- Lead supplier delivery teams through KPIs and metrics, ensuring alignment with technical standards, security, and domain strategy.
- Oversee the adoption of DevSecOps tooling, containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices across the Mobile domain.
- Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure workflows, service orders, and orchestration align with TMF frameworks.
Cloud & Automation Enablement
- Build, operate, and optimise Mobile digital network products using cloud platforms (GCP).
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI/ML, and generative AI to create network plans, design artifacts, or accelerate service delivery.
- Contribute to or lead initiatives on dark NOCs, closed-loop automation, and proactive operations.

The must haves
- Strong mobile network background, with hands-on experience in 5G Core, 4G EPC, RAN/Open RAN/vRAN, network slicing, VoLTE, and mobile service protocols.
- Experience working with workflow tools and automation (e.g., Itential, Appian, Siteflow) and understanding their role in the end-to-end service vision.
- Hands-on experience with SDN controllers such as Cisco NSO, including hypothesis testing and defining design constraints.
- Experience in DevSecOps tooling, containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
- Proven experience managing delivery teams through KPIs and metrics.
- Hands-on experience building digital network products, services, or capabilities on cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
- Experience with API gateways.
The other stuff we are looking for
- Experience leveraging generative AI to create network plans or design artifacts.
- Experience working on or delivering dark NOCs and closed-loop automation.
- Familiarity with TSA regulations and measures.
- Involvement in TMF Catalyst projects.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with Kong or F5 API gateways.
