SEN Teacher
SEN Teacher Start: September Qualiteach Yorkshire are looking for experienced, qualified QTS Primary and Secondary Teachers for an SEN specialist school in Leeds (LS10). This would include working with children with SEN who love to build strong relationships with trusted adults who can make a difference for them. This would be classroom based on a full time, ongoing basis. The Role:
- Plan, prepare and execute effective lessons, tailoring learning to suit a variety of learners
- Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all children and staff, supporting challenging behaviour and SEN requirements, working closely with the SENDCo
- Following care plans, EHCP’s, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents where necessary
- Using a holistic approach within a multi-disciplinary team of specialists to ensure the best outcome for the pupils
- Experience of working with children who have a range of learning needs
- A willingness to ‘jump in’ and help where necessary
- Being a positive role model and influence
- The ability to support challenging behaviour, encourage independence and be patient and willing to build long lasting relationships with pupils
- Have a good awareness of safeguarding procedures and confident to follow them quickly and effectively
- Be confident to take lead in a busy classroom working alongside skilled TA’s
