The Opportunity & Role Profile
This popular, Outstanding-rated primary academy requires a reliable and diligent Caretaker to oversee the security, cleanliness, and minor maintenance of its facilities. The school needs a hands-on individual who prioritizes child safety and ensures the environment is always welcoming.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
- Access Anchor: Key holder duties, managing alarm systems, and securely locking up and opening the premises.
- Maintenance Mechanic: Performing routine minor repairs (DIY, general upkeep), and reporting larger maintenance needs.
- Safety Sentinel: Conducting daily H&S checks specific to a primary environment and ensuring all external play areas are safe and clean.
Compensation & Benefits
- Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a maintenance or site support role, practical skills, and strong commitment to H&S awareness, ideally within a primary setting.
- Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government support staff scale (ranging from £28,000 – £33,000 Annually).
- Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
