The Opportunity

We are seeking 2 commercially minded solicitors:

• One with 1-2 years PQE
• One with 3-5 years PQE

to join this thriving Commercial team in Leeds.

For the more senior role, this is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who is ready to take on greater responsibility, build their own client relationships, and develop across a broad and varied commercial practice.

The role is full time and Leeds based, with hybrid working available following a probationary period.

The Role

You will advise clients across a wide spectrum of commercial matters, with the firm's Commercial practice spanning general commercial contracts, IT and intellectual property, and privacy and data protection. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, purchase and distribution contracts, outsourcing arrangements, media and marketing contracts, and technology agreements
• Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on both day-to-day business issues and strategic projects
• Leading client matters with increasing autonomy as you develop within the role
• Building and managing your own client relationships
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

The Candidate

Our client is looking for a candidates who can demonstrate:

• 1–5 years' PQE in commercial law
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• The ability to deliver clear, solution-oriented advice
• Experience with IT-related matters — SaaS agreements, software licensing, and systems integration — is highly desirable
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine appetite for business development
