Field Service Engineer (Print Finishing Equipment)
Field Service Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) Print Finishing Equipment Northern Based + National & Occasional International Travel Salary £38,000-£45,000 based on experience + package Due to continued growth, a well-established and highly regarded provider of print finishing and mailing solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer with a mechanical and/or electrical background. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business known for its technical expertise, high-quality equipment, and long-standing client relationships across the UK. This is a home-based role, ideally suited to an engineer based in the North of England, covering a mix of regional, national, and occasional international travel. The Role You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of a range of print finishing equipment, including:
- Binding
- Stitching
- Laminating
- Folding
- Cutting machinery
- Essential: Previous experience working as an engineer within the print, packaging, or similar FMCG/manufacturing environment
- Either a site-based engineer looking to step into a field-based role, or an existing Field Service Engineer
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills with strong fault-finding ability
- Keen to develop and build on existing technical knowledge
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing role
- Flexible approach to travel, including occasional working away
- Full UK driving licence
- Starting salary £38,000-£45,000 (depending on experience)
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates from day one
- Company vehicle (hire car during probation, then choice of options)
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 26 with service)
- 4% employer pension contribution
