The successful Product Design Teacher will teach Product Design across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 depending on experience.

The Role
The school is looking for a passionate Product Design Teacher who can deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage students to develop strong design thinking, technical skills, and creativity. The successful Product Design Teacher will work closely with an experienced Head of Department to maintain the department’s strong academic outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the Product Design Teacher include:
Teaching Product Design across KS3 and KS4
Delivering engaging lessons covering design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques
Supporting students in developing practical workshop skills and design portfolios
Assessing and monitoring student progress in line with departmental expectations
Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within Design & Technology

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Product Design Teacher will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Product Design across KS3 and KS4
Be confident delivering practical workshop-based lessons safely and effectively
Have strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school and Design & Technology department
