SEN Teaching Assistant - Permanent, Full-Time

NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting for a permanent, full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive neurodiverse school in Leeds , supporting pupils aged 4-16 years . This opportunity is based on a well-established specialist provision with a strong reputation for supporting children with a range of additional needs.
About the SchoolThis nurturing and forward-thinking neurodiverse setting provides tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication and interaction difficulties. The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils aged 4-16 with a range of additional needs
- Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning support
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Assist with behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils' social development and independence
- Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
- Is patient, caring and resilient
- Has a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse learners
- Works well as part of a team
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proactive, flexible and committed to making a difference
- A permanent, full-time role from the outset
