Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced electronics engineer with contracting experience to join a time-critical R&D project, supporting the final stages of development through to installation. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary position that sits between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. You will play a key role in bringing together various subsystems, ensuring successful integration, documentation, and delivery of a working product. The project is already well advanced, with prototypes built and testing underway. The focus of this role is on completing integration, supporting compliance, finalising documentation, and helping move the product from late-stage design into production. There may also be some involvement in software development for an embedded industrial PC. You need to be available to start within the next few weeks.

Act as an integration engineer across mechanical, electrical, and software components
Support development of software for a Windows-based industrial PC (C# preferred but not essential)
Coordinate system integration and ensure all elements function together correctly
Produce and maintain technical documentation
Edit and manage CAD drawings, including updates, labelling, and uploads
Support compliance activities and preparation for small-scale production
Liaise with stakeholders and act as a technical point of contact
Support testing and validation where required
Electronics Engineer - About you - Software, Electrical, Mechanical, CAD

Proven contracting experience (not suitable for recent graduates or those without a background of contracting)
Strong understanding of system integration across mechanical, electrical, electronic and software disciplines
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Understanding of electronics, including power flow and component interaction
Experience or interest in software or embedded systems would be beneficial
Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to take on a mix of complex and routine tasks
Experience with C# or similar programming languages would be beneficial, as would familiarity with industrial PCs or embedded systems
