The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Wakefield. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with their learning. Requirements

• Previous experience working with young people.
• The ability to follow instructions and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the classroom and ensure they are on task.
• Deliver pre-prepared work left by the absent teacher.
• Manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies.
• Answer student questions and provide support where needed.
• Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
• Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff member.
• Uphold the school's values and ethos.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your care.
• Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
• Assist with any ad-hoc duties as requested by the school.
